The Montreal Lake Cree Nation is a distinct First Nation among the Aboriginal peoples of Canada in that they possess a unique historical cultural heritage, and as such, form a people with a common political consciousness. We strive to maintain the social, economic and political bases of the First Nations people represented herein, including their rights to land and resources, culture, language, self-government and self-determination.
As a band member of the Prince Albert Grand Council, the Montreal Lake Cree Nation recognizes their inherent and natural rights to First Nation self-determination and First Nation self-government as bestowed upon them by the Creator. |
